The Riverside Hotel is situated in Boscastle, one of the picturesque
parts of North Cornwall in the southwest which is nationally recognised as being
outstanding for its scenic quality. The Riverside Hotel was built around 1584 by Sir
Richard Grenville of the Armada fame. He was also the benefactor who provided
Boscastle with its fine sea walls. The Riverside Hotel, situated along the River
Valency, has many spacious rooms with river or harbour views.
The Riverside Hotel has been refurbished since the floods in August 2004 being one
of the properties experiencing extensive damage throughout. Bringing the building
back to a higher standard than once before, all of our ten bedrooms at The Riverside
