My friends and I stayed at Woodlands B&B for 2 nights and it was perfect. Ike and Ann Gibson were wonderful hosts and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Ike gave us useful tips for travelling north (thanks a lot). The room are small but who needs more to sleep well. Breakfast was very delicious with homemade bread (yummy) and you can choose whatever you want (marmelade, toast cereals, tea, coffee, complete highland breakfast). We will come back someday :-)))
The little town is so lovely with the beach (beautyful sunset) and lots of possiblities to do and see around.

We had a lovely stay at Woodlands albeit very brief. Top class breakfast with delicious homemade bread and jam / marmalade. Mr and Mrs Gibson were very welcoming and informative. It is ideally situated for the shore and ferry terminal. We will definitely be booking again when we go back to Ullapool.

My wife and I had a great stay at Woodlands. We were made to feel really welcome and at home. We were initially attracted by the reasonable price, and were happy not to have ensuite facilities. Our room was not large, but everything was spotless, the beds were comfortable (we had the twin room, not the double room, as we were booking too late...), and our few days here were a highlight of our holiday. Breakfast was fantastic - a real choice including home-smoked kippers and home-smoked salmon, and homemade bread, and other carefully chosen delights. Ike likes his food, enjoys making what he can, and he and Ann are excellent cooks. We loved the area too, making marvellous day trips from Ullapool in various directions, including to Handa Island where we saw puffins, seals and a porpoise. Wonderful scenery all around. Ullapool is a pretty and interesting place too, with useful and interesting shops, pubs, and excellent fish and chips. Yes, we had a great time.

Since we first went to the Woodlands, we return there at least once a year. Ann and Ike are great hosts, they give valuable hints at what to see, where to have dinner etc and are always open for a nice chat. Their breakfast is marvellous - they bake their own bread and smoke their own fish, just to mention two aspects, and the rooms are very nice and clean.
