Have just returned from the Wasshington Hotel where I spent 3 nights with my husband. The hotel is excellent. Room not large, but very clean and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast very good, with a large, varied menu. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. An extra nice touch was the curtains closed at night, and lights put on before our return, with the added surprise of chocolates by the bed. Two slight drawbacks, one is lack of parking space (only 9 spaces and very difficult to manoeuvre. Free parking is available overnight in Marks and Spencer car park close by, but you have to move car by 9a.m. which isn't always convenient. The other is that breakfast finishes at 9a.m. which is fine if you are staying on business, but we were on a mini break, and felt having to be down by 8.30 to be finished by 9 was a bit of a rush. However, I would still recommend the hotel, and will definitely return.
