This is a beautiful & very friendly, well-run hotel. The decor is quirky and clearly quite personal to the owners.
The room we had was rather small but spotlessly clean with bath & power shower. Our view over the garden and wide expanse of sea beyond was fantastic.
The hotel managed to fit us in for our evening meal despite being fully booked - the food was delicious! All fresh & mostly local, Cornish produce. Afterwards, we were served coffee and brandy in the incredibly comfortable lounge.
The breakfast was equally delicious with unlimited coffee, tea or juice and an ample choice of newspapers. In warm weather, meals can be taken outside on the terrace overlooking the sea and garden.
The hotel is within easy walking distance to the busy harbour & narrow streets of Mevagissey with numerous pubs & restaurants but the walk back is mainly up hill! At the bottom of the hotel garden is a narrow path leading to steep steps down to a delightful small sandy cove which ,although a public beach, was peaceful & not at all busy.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, short break in a super environment.
