The resident owners of this 450 year old refurbished farmhouse, Miriam and Trevor Thomas, are very welcoming. As we arrived late at night during the middle of a storm, we got offered hot cocoa to warm up. There are three rooms available: one double room with an en-suite bathroom, a large family room that sleeps four (two single beds and one bunk bed) and a single room, with shared facilities. Each room has a hospitality try with a choice of teas and coffee, wrapped home-made biscuit and fresh milk
Breakfast can be selected from an expansive menu for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It is made with fresh local and home grown produce and free range eggs, and served in the morning in the dining room where exposed wooden beams and a burning open fire add to the charm and welcome of this place. A wide range of cereals, locally pressed pear and apple juice, a traditional English cooked breakfast, toast and local jam, marmalade and honey make this the best start of any day in the outdoors.
