Fantastic accommodation. We stayed for two nights bed and breakfast in a standard double en suite. The room was huge with the original victorian features - sash windows, fireplace and beautifully furnished and decorated. Lovely comfy bed - went out like a light! The en suite was more like a family bathroom! Drinks tray with selection of hot drinks and biscuits and the vegetarian breakfast was excellent. There is plenty of choice with a variety of cereals, yoghurts, juices and a menu for cooked breakfasts. There are two guest lounges one with a TV (although there was one in our room) and one with books, and leaflets to peruse on places to visit. It is ideally situated from the RSPB Loch Garten reserve being only 5 mins away and there is also a nature diary in the guest lounge for you to enter any local sightings of wildlife. It is good to see that the current owners are trying to do their bit for the environment by encouraging guests to recycle their waste and save energy by switching lights off etc and actively seek your feedback and will also welcome any other 'green' suggestions. They are also keen to support local producers by sourcing products as locally as possible. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer - we can definately highly recommend Heathbank Hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area.
