We stayed at Fingle Bridge while visiting Monkey World this week and were very impressed with our host, Liz, and her friendly hospitality. Our room was a spacious and comfotable family room with a double bed, two single beds and surely enough room for a cot or additional temporary bed if needed. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were clean, modern, bright and airy, with a small table and chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, television with DVD, full length mirror and plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. Basically everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast was great, with a choice of cereals, full cooked English breakfast plus tea, coffee, fresh orange juice and of course Liz's delicious homemade preserves. The garden is beautiful and the B&B is five minutes walk from Wool station and only a mile or so drive from Monkey World. The village of Wool is very pretty and there's a local Spar close by for any other needs. In the evening we ate at the Black Bear pub, a few minutes walk from Fingle Bridge, where the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. All in all a very nice stay in a beautiful part of the world. I'd certainly recommend Fingle Bridge B&B to anyone visiting the area.
