I stayed 3 nights in this lovey home overlooking the Borders town of Hawich. My single accommodation was nicely furnished with no frou-frou. A large window to view the terraced back garden a real treat, as it was beautiful. The comfy easy chair for reading or TV watching, a pleasant change from sitting on the bed. Tea making table & supplies. The ensuite bath had a heated towel rack & decent lighting. Although I tidied my bed & carefully dried my towels to be folded on the rack, the host cleaned the room again each day. The location is peaceful, with pleasant views, I never heard the other guests. The dinning room is simplistic & lovely with individual tables, pressed linens, elegant settings. The breakfast selections should please anyone. Wonderful tea or filtered coffee. The lounge is airy, well furnished, has views. There is ample parking off the street. The walk to town center about a mile; a very nice restaurant nearby & easy to walk to. I was very impressed & wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ellistrin. The hosts are friendly, pleasant, the service is excellent.
