Situated in the smart Kurfurstendamm area of Berlin this hotel is hard to beat. The location is excellent - near the smart stores - and many good restaurants are within walking distance. The building is a dynamic piece of modern architecture.
From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Smiling doormen parked our car and helped us with luggage then our check in assistant showed us to our rooms and made us familiar with the hotel's facilities. The foyer was slick, simple and spacious but smartly furnished and the art of a prominent painter hung from its walls.
Our rooms, which were inward facing, were very spacious and stylish. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient and the bathroom was well designed with a separate bath and shower. The outward facing rooms were not as large but had spectacular views over this interesting city.
What also made this hotel so good were the staff who appeared to be carefully chosen and very well trained in customer service. They were extremely warm and helpful and on hand to assist us with everything from recommending restaurants to directions to sights. Every request we made for assistance was followed up.
If in this city again I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone who appreciates friendly and professional service.
